Pantone just announced its choice for 2018 Color of the Year and as a true Prince fan, I'm so excited. The powers-that-be at Pantone decided to pay homage to "The Purple One" by selecting Ultra Violet as 2018's color supreme.  Ultra Violet is a deep bluish-purple hue that, although often associated with royalty, evokes a counterculture flair and visionary thinking.

Ultra Violet is felt to have a somewhat mystical quality.  With its red undertones, a passionate heat is present but it's the cool tones that prevail.  What's especially great about this shade of purple is that it looks great on most skin tones which makes it an ideal choice for bridesmaid dresses.  Your girls are sure to look fabulous in this inspirational color.
